I ended up getting the 16GB in white (which is apparently the rarest of the species). Im not too sure how to use this little baby at the moment. It all seems very unfamiliar. I keep thinking of that scene in Sex & The City where Carrie desperately needs to call John, Samantha quickly hands Carrie her iphone, Carrie takes one look at the phone and promptly hands it back to Samantha saying I cant work this!. I kind of feel the same way at the moment with my i-phone (minus the wedding dress and bridal party). Now that Ive got the phone I don’t think it is as good as what they say. Two stand out things that I dont like about it are:

  • today it seemed to run out of battery power really quickly even though I hadnt even made any calls on it and even though the battery bar was at 90% when I took it out of the box
  • you have to click on phone to actually dial a number. What if I have to make an emergency phone call? Its going to take twice as long just to make a phone call
  • I cant find a way to load a song as the ring tone (I think you have to download them from itunes and pay a fee)
  • I cant get the email working – I can download emails but can’t send them – annoying!

I guess it all just seems odd to me, being a long-time Nokia user. Hopefully Ill get used to my iphone fairly quickly.
