Tim has a job interview with Australia Post

Tim is currently going through the recruitment process with Australia Post. The position he’s going for is a 3 month temp position as a walking postie. He’s hoping that it will lead to a full time job and then he wants to become a motorbike postie. He took a computer test a few weeks ago which was the first stage of the recruitment process. He passed with flying colours. Apparently some of the questions were “Do you ever feel sad for no reason?”, “Do you ever feel angry for no reason”, “Do you think it is right to steal?” and “Do you have a problem with gambling”. Totally weird. Last week he went to have a medical and passed that with flying colours as well. He’s got the final interview tomorrow morning so fingers crossed he’ll be an Australia Post employee soon.

How are you? Actually i am keenly interested in postie postion and need your help & advise regarding Postie computer tests & interview. I am in sydney and i have applied for postie position couple of weeks before. I did computer test but could not be successfull. I don’t know how to best response to Auspost test & interview so that i would be successful and appointed for postie position. Unfortunately, there is no ‘magic answer’ to your question.

When you go for the computer test you need to have a clear mind. You need to expect a lot of problem-solving questions and you need to expect some mathematical questions. Most importantly, you need to have some common sense for answering some of the questions you will be asked. For example, “Do you steal from your employer?” – use your common sense, the obvious answer will be “No!”.

Perhaps you could ask the person in charge when you go for your computer test for some tips. The main thing is to keep calm and don’t panic. If you don’t know how to answer a question, skip it and go to the next question, you may have time to come back to the difficult questions later on.

About us

Sarah and Tim are girlfriend and boyfriend. They’ve been together for about 10 years. Until recently, they lived in Sydney.
