This weekend
So I picked up the new car on Thursday. It took them 4 days to register the vehicle, wash it and put on the nudge bar and weathershields. Because of the delay I was given little door sill guards and rubber slush mats. Here’s the new baby:
On Saturday we took a drive to Warragamba Dam. Unfortunately we didn’t see much at the actual Dam because they are doing work on it, but I am happy with the way the car drives. Although its a diesel engine it drives really smoothly. The sunroof is a nice feature to have and its nice to have it open at night. But to have it open during the day is too hot and I could feel my head getting sunburnt. So we drove with the sunroof closed. If I had the choice for a sunroof or not I would have chosen not to have a sunroof. But unfortunately this was the last car they were trying to get rid of and it already had a sunroof installed so I didn’t have a choice.
On the way to Warragamba, we stopped in at the Salvos store in Camden. I picked up these Tupperware coasters for $2.
They are in much better condition than my other coasters. I don’t think they are as old as the other Tupperware coasters I’ve got but I think I will keep these nicer ones and sell off the old ones.
On Sunday we went to the Wentworth Market at Wentworth Park. I bought this insanely large silver ring with garnets for $40. I’m pretty sure its a men’s ring and it feels like it belonged to a King in a previous life. I have to get it re-sized – its way too big.
