This happened back in January and I haven’t posted about it until now. Tim has some lady friends that share his interest in Australian pottery. He meets up with them every month or so and we were lucky enough to be invited to a book launch for a book called ‘More People’s Potteries Stories’, by Dorothy Johnston. ‘More People’s Potteries Stories’ is the follow-up book to ‘The People’s Potteries’ which Dorothy wrote a number of years ago. The launch was held at Terrigal Surf Club, about 2 hours drive north of Sydney. It was a really nice drive up. Here’s some pics of the drive up:

All of Tim’s lady friends were there and all of Dorothy Johnston’s family was there including her Liverpool Football Club hero son, Craig Johnston, who was the MC for the day.

A few guest speakers had come along to share their stories of the family pottery business.

Then Dorothy spoke about the book that she has written.

These are Tim’s friends Di and Bob. They helped Dorothy with the typing of the book and the photos.

Tim ended up getting Dorothy Johnston’s signature and also everyone else that had spoken on the day.

We also had a photo taken with Craig Johnston.

It was a really nice day.
