Well it’s been a couple of months in the making but we’re almost there with the laundry. Here’s what’s been done up until now:

Well, Tim has installed a new toilet, a plumber has come in to move the taps in the laundry so that our laundry tub can now be flush against the wall in the corner of the room and Tim has removed part of the masonite panels and installed some of the dado boards.

We’ve had a quote from a builder to make our laundry all nice, which has come in at $7,000 (even with us doing all the hard labour such as completely removing the walls).
So we’re going to change our plan a little and try doing this room ourselves (except for the plumbing).
