Last weekend we did a few things around the house. I did some gardening and Tim got on the roof to clean the gutters and check the condition of the roof.
He took some photos of our garden and our surrounds while he was up there.
As you can see, from up here, there’s a lot of [...]

Just because I can’t resist, here are some more photos of our lovely Smokey boy.

Well, if you read my last post dated 19 March, you will know I mentioned that a move to Tasmania was coming up. Although we hadn’t planned to move to Tasmania so soon (we were going to leave it for a 2 or 3 years before moving down), I decided to move so that I [...]

Well bad news for the super huge silver ring that I bought a couple of weeks ago. I went to 4 jewellers and not one of them is willing to resize my ring! They won’t touch it with a 9 foot pole! Apparently the setting at the top is so wide and chunky that if [...]

I just finished sewing up some bags and I decided to list some them on etsy. Here is the link to the shop:

I’m doing this as an experiment to see how well the bags sell. I have never had any luck with etsy for my Tall Poppy craft and sewing supplies. Hopefully it might be [...]

Tim made chicken pie last night. Its one of his specialties.

Here’s the ingredients:

2 tablespoons flour
Salt and pepper to taste
2 sheets filo pastry
1 egg (to glaze pastry)

This is enough ingredients to make 2 pies approximately 25cm in diameter.
Slice the leeks, carrot, celery and [...]

On Saturday we took a drive to Warragamba Dam. Unfortunately we [...]

This happened back in January and I haven’t posted about it until now. Tim has some lady friends that share his interest in Australian pottery. He meets up with them every month or so and we were lucky enough to be invited to a book launch for a book called ‘More People’s Potteries Stories’, by [...]

I traded in my 07 Toyota Yaris and got one of these diesel Jeep Patriots that I have been talking about. I had no choice but to get it in silver, so it looks like this:

I feel like I got a reasonable deal but when I look back I am disappointed that I didn’t ask [...]

February 21st, 2009

As I’ve mentioned previously, I am looking to get a new car. I really like the look of the Jeep Patriots.

But unfortunately after making some enquiries with a few of the dealers near me its proving difficult to get my hands on a vehicle to test drive. I’ve never had so much trouble trying to [...]
